TOILET TRAINING

Most children are ready to toilet train by 24 months.
You can start buy reading some potty training books to your child.

BUY SUPPLIES
Potty Chair- Having the feet touch the floor during training gives leverage for pushing and a sense of security. Also offers freedom of getting on and off at own will.
Treats- Such as fruit, candy, cookies or crackers is a great reward, or you can try stickers. Buy or makea sticker book and everytime your child uses the potty you can let him/her pick a sticker to put in the book. You can make your own with a peice of paper, a ruler and a marker. Let your child help you decorate it!!

THE PROCESS
Make the potty chair one of your childs favorite possessions- before you purchase the chair, take your child with you and allow them to pick out the chair with you. Make it clear that it's there chair. Take it home and decorate with their name.
Encourage practice runs- Do practice runs whenever your child's face look promising. Good times are right after naps and 20 mins after a meal. Never you force or make your child sit against their own will.
Praise your child for their success- You can use hugs, kisses, words or treats. have lots of patience it will be worth it in the end.
**** TRY PEE PEE FIRST AND LET THEM GET THE HANG OF THAT! THEN GO IN FOR THE POO POO THAT CAN BE HARDER FOR SOME CHILDREN!! MAKE LITTLE GOODY BAGS OR BUY TOYS TO PUT UP AND LET YOUR CHILD KNOW THAT IF THEY MAKE PEE PEE OR POO POO THAT THEY WILL GET A PRIZE, GOODY OR WHATEVER YOU LIKE TO CALL IT!! YOU STILL MUST ENCOURAGE THEM FOR TRYING AND GIVE THEM SMALLER TREATS FORJUST SITTING ON THE TOILET!!**** DON'T LET THIS TIME BE STRESSFUL! MAKE IT FUN AND YOU WILL GET FAR!
